School dinners area available for all pupils from Reception to Year 2 at no cost under the government’s Universal Free School Meal (UFSM) initiative. They are also available to pupils from Year 3 to Year 6 at a cost of £2.30 per day (£11.50 per week).
The school provides an online payment system which parents must use to pay for school meals. The system is a more convenient way of paying and from the school’s perspective, saves time and reduces the chance of money being lost or stolen. The system we use is called ‘School Grid’ which offers parents the flexibility to make online payments whenever they like, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Getting started with School Grid online payments
A ‘welcome’ email will be sent to parents/carers together with a link. You will need to click on the link to activate your account and to set up a password. Parents/Carers will then be able to view menus and select pupil meals. Please be aware that the link is only valid for 24hours. Once your password has been set please access your account from the following web address - https://app.schoolgrid.co.uk/
To place a pre-order you just need to login and select the ‘Order Meals' option along the top (if you login using a mobile phone you will need to select the 3 lines at the top right hand side first of all). You then just click on the button to the left of what you would like to order each day.
You can confirm if your pre-order has been placed as the date bar will turn from red saying ‘No Order' in the right hand corner to green saying ‘Order Placed’. You can also view the orders that have been placed by clicking on the ‘Orders List’ button on the ‘Order Meals’ page or you can click on ‘Food’ then ‘Current Orders'.
We do ask where possible that the pre-order is cancelled if it is no longer required to help reduce waste. The cut off for this is 8:55am on the morning of the meal. Even if the pre-order isn’t cancelled in time the meal is only added to your account and classed as chargeable when it is collected at lunchtime. You can confirm if you have been charged by logging into your SchoolGrid account and looking at the 'Account' and then 'View Activity’ section.
To cancel the pre-order you just need to log into your account and go to the ‘Order Meals’ section. For each order you have placed there will be a red ‘Cancel/Remove Order’ button for you to click on and this will cancel the pre-order.

The school has a detailed ‘Packed Lunch Policy’ which must be strictly followed. The school office should be contacted for further details. If Lower School pupils go home for lunch they must be collected from the school office at 12.15pm and not be back on the school premises until 1.05pm. Upper School pupils who go home for lunch should be collected at 12.30pm and not be back on the school premises until 1.20pm.
A morning breaktime toast facility is available to all pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 at a cost of 30p per day or cheese on toast for 40p per day. This must be paid for by using School Grid. Free fruit is also available for all Lower School pupils, including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), during morning break.
